It’s very baffling and yet so intriguing to me how a lot men are becoming the new women. What I mean by that is, I have seen so many men that I have or am dealing with as well as men dealing with friends of mine, acting so emotional. They like to call us unstable creatures, sensitive, emotional, etc., but it seems like this has taken a turn for the XY chromosomes. What I also don’t get is, if you are not my man, whether we are just dating, or you USED to be my man, why is what I’m doing and who I’m doing it with such a big deal to you? I do me, let me do me. You do you, so exactly what is the problem? What I do, say, act like, when I’m not with you, should not be your concern. If it is, then we need to have a whole other conversation, because it seems as if you want more than what we have, and more than I want to give. It just boggles my mind how you all let your emotions get the best of you. Suggestion: try to hide it a little better, so you don’t come across as being scorned or bitter. Men are incredibly simple, yet so complex, which leaves me perplexed. Go figure. Oh well. I’ll continue doing me, since I do that, and do it well.

I am a couple days late, but I wanted to give a brief recap about what happened this weekend. First off, let me state that I had a really good time, and it went better than I ever imagined. Saturday was extremely hectic, and I had tons of things to get done all before 8pm (my date time). I was able to finish everything by 5:30pm, but still wasn’t ready until 8:30 (typical jamz.). My ex & I were supposed to do the typical dinner and a movie, first going to Cheesecake Factory, because I have never been. But because I took so long to get ready, we decided against it. We ended up going to Studio Movie Grill, which is a place that allows you order food, and have it brought to you while you watch a movie. Death at a Funeral is hilarious btw. After the movie, we went to his new place, where I was given a tour, and ended up on the couch, watching Starsky & Hutch. He fell asleep in my lap, and after the movie, I woke him up so he could go sleep in his bed. We went to the bedroom, one thing lead to another and…The next morning he cooked breakfast for me which was extremely sweet and tasted great. I then went home, napped, and watched basketball. See? Grrrreat weekend. No Tony the Tiger. :)

I have never been the type to chase a man. Ever. But in my last ‘relationship’ (I put it in singles quotes because I don’t know if you can call it that), if you read my blogs on it, I found myself chasing after him. What the fuck am I? A lost puppy? Smh. Well, now that I am no longer with him, I have changed. I changed back to the old Jazmin. The nonchalant, melancholy, yeah whatever, I’m going to do me Jazmin. It feels great to be back, *takes a bow* although it seems to have ruffled some feathers. The fact of the matter is, I have to do what’s in my best interest, and if that makes my ex or the new men that I deal with upset, then so be it. In other news: I have been going back and forth to Chicago because of a new guy in my life. Just thinking about him, makes me smile. He’s absolutely great. He plays pro ball, which I don’t care about (been there done that), he’s smart, witty, funny, sexy, compassionate, sensitive to my needs and is just an all around good guy. I am going to take this situation extremely slow. No need in rushing into sexual relations, relationships, etc. If it’s meant to be, it will be. Either way, I don’t chase them, it’s the other way around and I love that. The Leo in me loves the attention. Chase away. :)

P.S. Where are men like this in MY city? Ugh.

Little Tony was sitting on a park bench munching on one candy bar after another.

After the 6th one, a man on the bench across from him said, “Son, you know eating all that candy isn’t good for you. It will give you acne, rot your teeth, and make you fat.”

Little Tony replied, “My grandfather lived to be 107 years old.”

The man asked, “Did your grandfather eat 6 candy bars at a time?”

Little Tony answered, “No, he minded his own fucking business.
